How Members Benefit From The Serenbe Farms CSA
Superior nutrition and quality.
Just-picked, selected for flavor, handled with care, and grown on well balanced soils, your food will be at the pinnacle of freshness and quality. Organic vegetables grown in balanced soil and picked and eaten at their peak are more likely to contain a balanced array of nutrients and minerals.
Affordable.
On average how much do you spend on produce a week? Our share provides 5-10 servings of vegetables, for only $20-$30, each week!
Supports your community.
By cutting out the multiple middlemen involved in our current food system, your money is going directly to your farmer! A great way to support your local economy. Develop a relationship with the people growing your food. A CSA share puts a face behind the food. You will have a direct connection to the food you eat.
Locally grown produce.
A Serenbe CSA share allows you to be close to your food! Not only will you know where your vegetables are coming from, but you will also be eating seasonally. Our CSA shares are harvested and picked up the same day, which means vegetables are at their freshest. The average distance conventional food travels to your table is 1,500 miles. Our food travels from the field to your table.
Safer food.
Eat healthier. Our farm is USDA certified Organic. No synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, GMOs, chemicals, or additives are used on our farm.
Never get bored! Discover new things.
With help from our weekly recipes, you will gain knowledge of southern seasonal produce. You will be familiar with most of the produce you receive each week, but there will also be fun surprises when you get to take home a new vegetable or new variety. Enjoy the bounty!
Frequently-Asked Questions
WHAT ARE THE CSA FARM SHARE OPTIONS AND COSTS?
You can find share details and costs on the Available Shares page.
WHERE DO I PICK UP MY CSA?
Tuesday from 4:30pm-7:00pm
Serenbe Farms - 8715 Atlanta Newnan Road, Chattahoochee Hills, GA 30268
HOW DOES CSA PICK-UP PROCEDURE WORK?
On the farm we offer a ‘market-style’ pick up. We set up produce as if we were at a farmers market and place signage to designate what you take each week. We will have a farmer on hand for questions and help with the process.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN’T PICK UP MY SHARE?
You can always have a friend or neighbor pick up your share in your place. Unfortunately, we cannot double up on shares that have been missed. All shares not picked up will be used to the best benefit of the farm and staff.
CAN I SHARE MY CSA SHARE?
Yes! Please share with anyone you’d like. We allow you to send other folks in your place, so the sharing possibilities are unlimited.
IS YOUR CSA PROGRAM FOR ME?
A CSA subscription will require that you prepare different seasonal vegetables all season long. Those that enjoy the CSA share most are likely to get creative in the kitchen and adapt to what’s available. We put a large emphasis on community involvement and education on the farm and welcome and encourage visits from our CSA members. Purchasing a CSA share from us guarantees you fresh, local, and certified organic vegetables every week. These vegetables are harvested or picked by hand the day of delivery or the day before. Knowing who is growing your food, where it is grown and trusting how it is grown is an excellent reason to be member of our CSA program.
CAN I VISIT THE FARM?
Yes! CSA members have full access to the farm during our working hours, or you can sign up to volunteer. Please do notify us that you’ll be visiting so we can verify that the farm will be open. We also offer public tours every Saturday at 3pm or book a private group tour.
